රාජ්‍ය ඖෂධ නිෂ්පාදන සංස්ථාව 1957 අංක 49 දරන කාර්මික නීතිගත සංස්ථා පනත යටතේ සංස්ථාගත කරන ලදී. 2013 වර්ෂය වන විට එය ශ්‍රී ලාංකික ජනතාව සඳහා ගුණාත්මක, ක්‍රියාකාරී හා ආරක්ෂාකාරී අත්‍යවශ්‍ය ඖෂධ පහසු මිලට වාණිජමය වශයෙන් නිෂ්පාදනය කිරීමෙහිලා වර්ෂ 26 ක් සම්පූර්ණ කොට ඇත.

රාජ්‍ය ඖෂධ නිෂ්පාදන සංස්ථාව (SPMC) වත්මන් නිෂ්පාදන මාලාව පෙති සහ කරල් වර්ග 46 කින් සමන්විත වේ. ශ්‍රී ලංකාව තුළ ඖෂධ නිෂ්පාදනයෙහි නියැලි රාජ්‍ය අංශයේ එකම සංස්ථාව ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ රාජ්‍ය ඖෂධ නිෂ්පාදන සංස්ථාව (SPMC) වෙයි.. වෙළඳපලට මුදා හරිනු ලබන සියලුම ඖෂධ බ්‍රිතාන්‍ය ෆාමකෝපියායි (BP) සහ එක්සත් ජනපද ෆාමකෝපියායි (USP) යන ඖෂධාවලි නියමයන් සපුරාලයි. වත්මන් යහපත් නිෂ්පාදන පිළිවෙත් (cGMP) රෙගුලාසි සහ කාර්යපටිපාටි ක්‍රියාත්මක කරන්නේද යන්න අභ්‍යන්තර විගණන හා කම්හල් පිරික්සුම් හරහා නිරතුරුවම නිරීක්ෂණය කරනු ලැබේ.

ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ රාජ්‍ය ඖෂධ නිෂ්පාදන සංස්ථාවේ (SPMC) ඖෂධ නිෂ්පාදනාගාරය නවීන ජපන්, ජර්මානු හා කොරියානු යන්ත්‍රවලින් සමන්විත ය. ඖෂධ නිෂ්පාදනාගාරය තුළ අතිශය පවිත්‍ර වාතාවරණයක් පවතින අතර එය ලෝක සෞඛ්‍ය සංවිධානය විසින් නියම කරනු ලැබ ඇති වත්මන් යහපත් නිෂ්පාදන පිළිවෙත් (cGMP) නියමයන්ට අනුකූලව කටයුතු කරයි. අප භාවිතා කරනුයේ අපටම අයත් අංග සම්පූර්ණ සංයෝග සංවර්ධන දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව තුළ සංවර්ධනය කරන ලද අපගේම සංයෝගයන්ය.

1987 වර්ෂයේදී මෙම ආයතනය ඇරඹූ දා පටන්, නිපැයුම් ගුණාත්මකතාව හා සේවකයින් අතර සමානාත්මකතාව මත සංකේන්ද්‍රණය වූ මෙහි ජපන් සංස්කෘතිය අර්ධ වශයෙන් රෝපණය කරනු ලැබීය. එහි ප්‍රතිඵලයක් ලෙස, අපි අසම කණ්ඩායම් හැඟීමකින් හා කණ්ඩායම් ක්‍රියාකාරිත්වයකින් යුතු සංස්කෘතියක් සහිත සංවිධානයක් නිර්මාණය කර ඇත. අපගේ සාර්ථකත්වය පසුපස ඇති වඩාත් ක්‍රියාකාරී බලවේගය වන ගුණාත්මකතාව සහිත ඖෂධ නිපැයුම් නිෂ්පාදකයකු වශයෙන් වූ අපගේ කීර්ති නාමය ගොඩනැංවීමට එම සංස්කෘතිය අපට උපකාර වී ඇත.
