Marketing Department
The Marketing Department integrates sales and distribution, budgeting and forecasting, market information analysis, designing and developing various sales and marketing strategies, sales promotion, CSR activities, maintenance of the distributor network, and excellent customer support services into the wing.
Since SPMC is the leading pharmaceutical drugs supplier for the government hospitals, the marketing department undertakes the distribution of pharmaceutical drugs to all the government hospitals in Sri Lanka through Medical Supplies Division (MSD). Also, supplying pharmaceutical medicines to all the Osusala outlets via State Pharmaceutical Corporation (SPC) and all the licensed pharmacies island-wide via the SPMC Direct Distribution network & Distributors network are under the Marketing Department's purview.
SPMC has exported superior quality pharmaceutical drugs to countries such as Egypt, Myanmar, Philippines, FIJI Islands, Bangladesh, and Papua New Guinea and tapped the other international markets via the esteem recommendation of WHO and JICA. Also, exporting pharmaceutical drugs is included in their plans as well.
Five SPMC Joint venture parties supply their products under the SPMC Logo. Namely, they are:
